About FLOKONTROL Industrial Automation

FLOKONTROL officially began its operations in 1997 with the purpose of producing robotic solutions. In line with this mission, in 1998 it manufactured its first two-axis industrial robot. Shortly after, it implemented its first project-based robotic installation at Paşabahçe's Mersin Factory, in the tea glass packaging line.

Our Journey

Until 2003, a total of 5 two-axis industrial robots were produced. During these years, alongside robotic applications—which were still new to Turkey at the time—Flokontrol also developed a wide range of special automation solutions based on industrial demands. It has particularly developed significant solutions for the glass and packaging industries.

To view this from another perspective, in Italy alone, there are about 10 different companies professionally working on similar solutions. Flokontrol successfully navigated this challenging and dynamic period, strengthening its achievement record with customer satisfaction.

For as long as it has existed, Flokontrol has proven the feasibility of the words "timely solutions for needs" against the ever-present challenge of time, through its professionalism in electromechanical, robotic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical control systems.

FANUC Partnership

As of 2005, Flokontrol became the official system integrator of Fanuc Robotics in the fields of handling, packaging, and palletizing.

The main reason Fanuc Robotics was chosen as a partner is their superior professionalism and willingness to share their long-standing expertise with us. It is well known that Fanuc began producing CNC control units in 1956. Within three years, in 1959, it expanded into the production of servo motors under the Fanuc brand. Robot manufacturing started in 1974. A knowledge base of 50 years is too important to overlook.

By 2003, according to production reports, Fanuc's monthly robot production had reached into the thousands. On the path toward what once seemed like science fiction—fully automated factories—Fanuc achieved a world first: establishing a factory that requires no lighting and operates solely with robots.

Our Team & Portfolio

Flokontrol Industrial Automation continues to "produce customized solutions for its clients" with a design team consisting of 6 engineers and 5 technicians. Despite its short 15-year history, Flokontrol has built an impressive portfolio of references.

The sectors it has been most active in include glass, food, ceramics, cosmetics, white goods, and textiles. In the glass sector, in particular, intensive work has been carried out for nearly 5 years under the Co-Design concept with the Şişecam Group, and this collaboration continues consistently in Şişecam's international investments.

Project Success

In the glass and food sectors, by 2010, Flokontrol had successfully delivered around 100 turnkey packaging and palletizing projects, including 40 robots, all of which are still in operation today. The packaging and palletizing solutions developed here range from carton forming to box filling, from product grouping to custom tooling design, and especially include a wide variety of palletizing peripheral equipment.

For 3M-Germany, a coil packaging and palletizing system—closely monitored by all of 3M USA—was ordered. The project was completed, manufactured, and installed in October 2010.

Intralogistics Services

Our company also provides services in the field of intralogistics, implementing and maintaining efficient warehousing processes. With the extensive experience we have gained over the years, we continue to create new solutions. For companies with storage facilities, we offer solutions that increase operational efficiency through Automated Storage Systems. To take the system even further, we also provide conveyor and autonomous mobile robot (AMR) solutions.
